Over 90% of all data is electronically stored information (ESI). Take email for example. Billions of email messages are sent on a daily basis. The proliferation of ESI has changed the way organizations deal with and approach litigation, due diligence and regulatory investigations, both from a legal and operational standpoint. With legal matters now involving millions of electronic pages, studies estimate that in complex litigation matters, document review encompasses anywhere between 58% and 90% of total litigation costs, with the majority of documents being ESI.
